Sushmita Sen's determination shone through even in the face of adversity while filming the rain-soaked scene for the upcoming global release of 'Taali,' as revealed by creators Arjun and Kartk. The anticipation is high as the Sushmita Sen-led movie is set to make its debut on JioCinema. Directed by Ravi Jadhav, the film draws inspiration from the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, and the inaugural day of shooting remains a vivid memory for both the cast and crew.

Recalling the challenging beginning, Arjun and Kartk shared, "Our shoot commenced with an intense rain sequence spanning two nights. However, right from the outset, Sushmita fell severely unwell. Battling a fever of 102°F, she had to perform while completely drenched under the pouring rain from two water tankers, for two consecutive nights. The taxing nature of the shoot, coupled with the rain-soaked setting, might have daunted many, but not Sushmita. Despite her ailing health, she persevered and delivered an impeccable performance. Remarkably, she even noted that her illness could contribute to channeling the anguish of her character. Her unwavering focus prevailed, undeterred by any distractions."

Further reminiscing about the same day, which also featured a hospital scene, Sushmita displayed exceptional concentration amidst the blaring ambulance sirens, constant foot traffic, and persistent commotion. Arjun and Kartk marveled at her tenacity, saying, "The remarkable aspect is that, despite her unwell condition, she consistently maintained punctuality. For a 7 o'clock call time, she would arrive on set 15 minutes early. Throughout, she upheld the highest levels of professionalism, and no one else but her could have portrayed Shreegauri Sawant with such authenticity. Her commitment to the project was all-encompassing. From the moment she read the script, she immersed herself wholeheartedly. Upon committing to the role, she dedicated herself to workshops and one-on-one sessions with her dialect coach and the director, fully embodying Shreegauri Sawant's persona."
