One of the most coveted film festivals in the world - the
Cannes Film Festival - has begun. The 76th edition of the star event welcomes
some of the biggest names in the film and fashion industry. Indian celebrities
like Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, Esha Gupta and others have been spotted
walking the carpet in stunning avatars on the French Riviera.
Here's a look at some of the best-dressed Indian celebrities
at Cannes who wowed us with their fashion choices:
Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes debut in a pastel lehenga with
long sleeves by fashion duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She finished the look
with traditional Indian jewellery.
The makers, through an Instagram post, wrote that the
Kedarnath actor arrived on the red carpet in a gorgeous multi-armed gown. They
added, “This intricate ombre work, requiring each panel to be unique, presents
a fascinating timeline from our couture archives over the years. "
The duo also showed that Sara's collection was a work of
art, featuring a beautiful feminine blouse with intricate crystals, beads and
resham work.
Adding to the appeal, the set includes two tulle drapes - a
stunning one shoulder veil and a long head veil. "Both blocks have the
best ombre work, decorated with small shadow dots and puzzles," the duo's
statement reads.
Manushi Chillar
The former Miss World winner looked stunning in a white
tulle dress from fashion designer Fovari. The set featured off-the-shoulder
detailing, corset straps, a plunging neckline, and a flared train. She styled
her hair in soft waves and a center parting and opted for minimal makeup,
making her outfit the center of attention.
Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta wore a stunning purple dress with a stunning,
plunging neckline with beautiful lace flowers around the neck designed by
Nicolas Jebran Couture. The dress also has a thigh high slit. She accessorized
the look with silver heels by Casadei and dangle earrings. In terms of makeup,
she opted for pink tones and styled her hair in a messy bun. She is more
beautiful than ever in this dress!
